How to approach it
The reliable route is to sweep by domain rather than by memory. List the places where a rotating edge does real work: kitchens, workshops, garages, gardens, farms, building sites, factories, hospitals, ports, airfields and fairgrounds. Inside each domain, walk through the machines you have actually seen and say what the spinning part is doing, whether it slices, shreds, lifts, pushes air, drives a hull, grinds, polishes or simply puts on a show. Write down every candidate, however ordinary, and only then judge whether the rotating element is genuinely a blade rather than a part that merely turns without cutting. Concrete compound names almost always beat bare generic words, so once a domain is exhausted, push toward the narrower variants and the specialised versions of whatever you have already found.
Get a hint
Start with ordinary rooms and workshops: anything that moves air, cuts material or prepares food is a candidate, because a turning edge hides inside plenty of unremarkable housings.
A little more
Then climb in scale toward vehicles and vessels of every kind, and on to farm, garden and construction equipment, where the rotating part is usually tucked behind a guard or under a cover.
One step further
Finish with the odd corners: surgical and medical instruments, toys, stage and festive effects, industrial processing lines, and the specialised machines that exist for one narrow job only.

Why these answers count
The board is unusually flat. Of 1138 recorded answers, 1101 reached at least sixty points, and 1009 of those sat on exactly 85; only Aerosani, at 100, broke away from the pack. That tells you rarity barely paid here. What separated the top band from everything below was specificity rather than obscurity: broad, bare words scored modestly, while anything named as a precise machine or a compound phrase landed in the 85 group almost automatically. A 3D printer, an air hockey table and an aerial saw all earned the same 85 despite belonging to completely unrelated worlds. Ninety-one answers settled for 60, presumably the plainer or more loosely justified picks. Judges clearly rewarded a recognisable object whose blade truly turns, so the safe route into the top band was to be concrete, technical and unambiguous instead of chasing one exotic outlier.
