Rare Answer Guide - Compare High-Point Picks
Updated 2026-10-04 · Krillion Answers
Looking beyond the obvious answer? Start with the exact question, use its hints and compare names already present in the dated record. The rare-answer overview shows high-point recorded examples for the latest captured edition. They are reference picks, not guaranteed live submissions.
Fit the prompt before chasing rarity
A less familiar name is useful only if it answers every condition in the prompt. An underground structure must be man-made if the question says so. A two-player game must satisfy “exactly two” if that is the stated condition. The question-specific first clue is often more valuable than simply picking the strangest word.
Compare recorded points in the same question
Use the solver and select the relevant point threshold. The record uses the publisher’s labels: 60-point Rare, 85-point Deep Cut and 100-point One in a Krillion. This companion preserves those values; it does not estimate the number of live players who chose a name.
For a dated example, the October 3, 2026 magnifying-device record includes Cyclops lens at 100 points and 4Pi microscope at 85 points. Those values describe that record. They do not establish a universal score for either name in another prompt or edition.
Check the spelling and coverage
Open the permanent question page or use the checker to compare a spelling with the recorded name. A partial historical selection can miss names; it should not be treated as an official rejection list.
Remember the useful distinction
The answer recall challenge asks which of three names has the highest recorded points in the same dated question. It is practice based on the archive, not a replay of the official game. Scores stay attached to their original context.
